Google First mandir of BAPS Swaminarayan mandir in Flushing inspired by GuruHari Pramukh Swami Maharaj.I hope everybody does the darshan of this mandir and attain weekly Sabha with Spiritual discourses in presence of Santos and Haribhaktos.Lastly I pray for everyone that you all remain in best of health and stay free from all the hardships with no more obstacles to come and attain unimaginable peace.5 stars

Google BAPS Flushing Temple First Temple in USA which was built approximately in 1970. Every Sunday people they come here to worship in evening. Swami gives general as well spiritual lecture which is very important for kids.5 stars
Yelp Like what Jack S said, it's a nice temple. It seems like a lot of work and restoration has been happening within the past year. Downstairs is a gift shop where you can purchase books, meditation CDs, small statues, etc. There's also a small cafeteria next to the gift shop. A bus from Main Street will drop you off right there. Also around the corner from this temple is Dosi Hutt. You can't lose.4 stars
Yelp Welcoming place. Take your shoes off when entering. The canteen has delicious traditional food (vegetarian). I've been a couple times and I'll be back.5 stars
Yelp Someone recommended heading here to not only view the Hindu place of worship, but to purchase the sweets--which I guess are very good. When I got there close to closing the sweet shop was already closed. But the place of worship was quite different than that of the Hindu Temple. It was adorned in red--red carpet, red walls, red everything. This was the first Swaminarayan Mandir in North America. Unlike in the Hindu Temple, there are only a few murti (images that express a Divine Spirit or a representation of a divinity, usually made of stone, wood, or metal). There were also fewer worshipers in this temple.3 stars
Yelp Nice temple with a Gujarati community. However, when you go in, take a left and their store sells some of the BEST sweets and namkeens ever. Most of them are actually made by people who go to the temple, not in a factory.4 stars
