Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple

Google We had a good time volunteering at the Krishna Temple. We called ahead and told them our group size and they setup some projects we could help with. We learned, were able to serve, and had a good time together.4 Stars

Google We went for the Festival of Colors for Holi with a fantastic Groupon deal. Tons of fun, really open and loving atmosphere, wish there had been more trash cans because everyone kept dropping used color bags on the ground, and some people who got chalk on the temple even though signs said not to, but only complaints. Had to park a little far away and walk, but it was a really nice day so that wasn’t a problem. Great venue.5 stars

Google What a beautiful building. Wow. What a friendly group of people. Nice. and what a peaceful temple. Incredible. I was taken by the peaceful energy all around the grounds and throughout the temple. The people were so nice to show us around and also to let us wander at our leisure. A very nice stop if you are in the area.5 stars

Yelp I was finally able to go and pay this place a visit and I had such a great time. The food was outstanding. Loved the lecture on a Sunday. Funny how it was exactly what I needed to hear. I feel so much better now after attending. No I'm not a member of the Hare Krishna movement. Yet a lot of the stuff they are about is right up my alley. I will totally be coming back more often in the future. I don't even care if there's a blizzard. I always wanted an AWD Subaru anyway. Plus that's what snow tires are for. And I don't live anywhere near this place. It's around a two hour drive but well worth it. Here is a faith that empowers people to succeed NOW and not restrict them or somehow make them settle for mediocrity or shove false doctrine down their throats just because somebody wrote it in a scroll 2,000 years ago. Doctrine BTW which causes much suffering and hardship in the world. And they are right about everything so far. Nothing they preeched is contrary to my current beliefs before experiencing Hare Krishna. If the whole world went Vegetarian it would end world hunger and seriously curb greenhouse gases which are destroying everything. Livestock puts out more methane gas then the whole transportation sector. It's a fact. Plus you get to have a healthy body. Meat and dairy is full of myotoxins. Also a fact. That would slash healthcare costs by a significant amount.5 stars

Yelp This is a very small Krishna Temple on the outskirts of the small community of Spanish Fork. We were the only guests at the time, but the young woman who greeted us was very friendly and welcoming. She instructed us to leave our shoes at the door, answered our few questions and told us there was no one there to give us a tour. This was disappointing, but she told us we could go up the stairs into the temple room by ourselves. She then disappeared back into the kitchen where delicious smells were emanating from. Upstairs, we found ourselves in a small but welcoming worship room. Not being of the Krishna faith we aren't familiar with the gods or meanings, but it was interesting nonetheless. There's a small gift shop area if you're inclined to buy something from India. We bought our granddaughter a colorful tunic for a reasonable price and three handmade knitted finger puppets.Outside several peacock birds can be seen wondering around but the animal cages were empty of any occupants. Down the hill in the field there are several Lamas grazing . who appear very curious of anyone who walks by. If you plan on visiting this Temple in an RV or towing a trailer, I wouldn't recommend driving either down the small road that leads to the Temple or up the Temple driveway as there's the danger of becoming stuck, plus there's no place to turn around. We parked our RV down the hill by the Lama field and walked the short distance up to the Temple. We visited on Feb 5th, 2018.3 stars

Yelp Attended the Holi Festival, the festival of colors and had an amazing time. If you have not attended, this is a must. Wear some clothes that can get stained, stay hydrated and plan on dancing... You will have a blast. This is a very fun annual event, low cost, and fun for everyone. Buy some colors, hug often, and have fun. The temple is beautiful, though tough to really see and appreciate with 20K people running around. Will have to come sometime just to see the temple. I Heard this is the largest one in the country, 50K+ people attend over the 2 days. Lots of music, lots of love, and a lot of fun for all.5 stars

Yelp I came here for the Holi Festival of Colors this past weekend and had a wonderful time! The temple was very impressive (check out the photos I posted from the festival) and my friend said on Sundays, they serve amazing Indian food for dinner so we have to go back and try that one day. The admission for the festival was only $3 and the color packets were $2 each. There were also food vendors around the temple. We tried the Mango Lassi and some samosas from Taste of India and both were very authentic and yummy! I can't wait to go back for the Holi Festival next year and I also want to check out the Festival of Lights in the fall!5 stars

Yelp Came here for the Holi Festival of Colors for the first time. I hear if you go on Saturday the place is packed with people so we went on a Sunday which was perfect. There were still a lot of people but you were able to move about as you please. This festival has everything you need if it's your first rodeo. They sell t-shirts, bandanas, masks, and the color chalk all there if case you forgot something. They also have food and beverages if you are into that with all the chalk in the air. Every hour they have one big color toss. They count down from ten and it's awesome to see everyone throw the colors in the air. They also have music and entertainment there to keep people entertained. We only stayed for a couple of hours before we decided to leave. A side note: if you do not want to get dirty this is not the place for you. People will walk by you and throw chalk all over you so he prepared. I would recommend some sort of face and ear protection. A bandana worked great for me!5 stars
