Google I have come to this place regularly every week nearly. Great space for meditation and great place for spiritual practice5 Stars
Google Nice spiritual ambience. Open to all. Parking is insufficient though when festival happens.4 Stars
Google Don't go to free food on 1st Saturday of every month. Some people think if you are poor or begger then only you come for free food. One lady insulted me and my wife badly even though we did not had food at free of cost. We had donated $20 but still that lady from Vedanta center DC made us to clean all dirty plates from other people and also had very rude and bad behavior. Believe me I never had this kind of experience to any vedanta society in usa ( had been visited regularly to NYC vedanta society 72 nd st west side and also lower east side) and ramakrishna mission in various parts of India including Belur math and bangalore. That lady was very rude, manner less and told us she is KAR Sevika for Vedanta Society who lives in bethesda. Also asked drive lift from us while coming back. MAin thing is don't go for free food there. Otherwise for meditation purpose or prayer purpose it is good as other temples around.1 Star
Google Thakur's statue is beautiful, the atmosphere is serene and memorable, and Swami's A, B and C are all very welcoming5 Stars
Google It is a very low key and yet beautiful temple. They offer tremendous community services as well.5 Stars
Yelp I first was introduced to this center when I visited Washington DC for a conference. The late minister of the Vedanta Society of Hollywood was a family friend and recommended this place to me. I was rather impressed with the area. When I later moved to the DC area, I frequented there often when there was a function or visiting minister. I wish I had been there for the visiting minister from Russia! This place is rather cliquey, but has the spirit of service. They also have a nice youth group, and several volunteer activities. I will say this Vedanta Center has a nice parking lot, which is more than I can say for some of the Vedanta Center in the US.3 Stars
